Sandra González

Cross-border, complex commercial litigation, domestic and international arbitration, bankruptcy and insolvency, foreign investment and investment protection.

Sandra González leads FERRERE’s litigation and arbitration team. She assists local and international companies from different industries, and specializes in complex, multi-jurisdiction cases.

She participates in the biggest and most complex disputes handled by the firm, with a focus on international arbitration. She acts as both counsel and arbitrator in commercial and investment arbitration cases.

She has recently acted for clients in construction, oil & gas, ports, mining and regulated markets arbitration cases. She has also acted as arbitrator, with particular emphasis on cases related to infrastructure, construction, M&A and administrative contracts.

Sandra González is vice-president of the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce and regularly participates as a panelist on arbitration and foreign investment at international conferences.

- Member of the Observatory on the status of arbitration in Latin America of the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB).

- Vice President of the River Plate Chapter of the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA)

- Founder and member of the Executive Committee of WWW – Women Way in Arbitration LATAM.

- Codirector of the Remote Oral Advocacy Program (ROAP) for Latin America of Delos Dispute Resolution.

- Member of LIA (Latin America International Arbitration).

- Member of the Arbitration Council of the Arbitration Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Services of Uruguay, and of the Steering Committee of the Mediation and Arbitration Center of Argentina (CEMA).

- Former president of the Latin American Chapter of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Codirector of the Diploma in Arbitration at Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay), professor in the International Contract Law Program at Universidad Austral (Argentina) and in the Arbitration Program at Universidad de Mendoza (Argentina).
