Ryan is of Chinese origin, born in Myanmar, and has a deep understanding of Asian family dynamics. Ryan’s reputation in the Singapore/southeast Asian market is such that, following his return to London, he continues to be a “go to” adviser for complex, high-value matters among private banks, trust companies and family offices in the region. Since the merger of Penningtons Manches with Thomas Cooper on 1st July 2019 (which brought a Singapore office to the firm), Ryan has worked closely with our Singapore partners to develop our private wealth platform in the region.
