Ryan Gallagher

Ryan's practice focuses on transportation and logistics with a particular emphasis on the rail industry. Ryan advises shippers, receivers and other rail users, shortline railways, investors and other interested parties on all aspects of rail transportation in commercial negotiations, dispute resolution, regulatory and transactional matters. Ryan has significant experience with rail rate, service and related matters under the Canada Transportation Act, rail safety matters, rail policy analyses and submissions, and contractual allocation of liability. Ryan’s transportation practice includes advising shippers and other interested parties on contractual and regulatory issues in relation to trucking, terminal, and facility development matters. Ryan also practices competition law and foreign investment regulation, with particular experience in merger reviews.
