Ryan has over 15 years’ experience assisting clients with the sale and purchase of estates, farms, country houses, forestry and sporting rights. He regularly acts for both domestic and international clients who have property interests in Scotland. Ryan also assists landowners on renewable transactions with experience in wind, solar, hydro and battery storage schemes.

Ryan specialises in agricultural law and regularly acts for landowners and tenants assisting them with Scottish agricultural holdings legislation. He also assists other professionals providing agricultural law advice for their corporate and institutional clients. Ryan has experience acting in contentious and non-contentious agricultural law matters and has been involved in high profile cases in the Scottish Land Court and Court of Session.
