Russell is a Partner based in BAL’s Boston office. He focuses on obtaining temporary and permanent employment authorization for clients including academic, financial and medical institutions as well as multinational corporations. Additionally, he facilitates investment in the United States through business and employment petitions.
Prior to joining BAL, Russell was managing partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP's Boston office.
Russell serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Immigration Subcommittee. Previously, he chaired the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Committee on Immigration as well as the Department of Labor Liaison Committee for the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Russell frequently speaks at professional association conferences and institutions of higher learning throughout New England. He is also a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
