Michelle Gergerian

Career

Michelle is a Partner in BAL’s Boston office. She represents prominent multinational organizations across industries, including technology, consulting, staffing, life sciences, and professional and financial services. Michelle covers all aspects of corporate immigration and helps her clients’ HR, talent acquisition and legal teams build comprehensive immigration programs ready to adapt to evolving immigration regulations. Michelle also co-leads BAL's Gold Card Practice Group.

Before joining BAL, Michelle served as the global practice lead for a multinational, multiservice law firm. Michelle’s practice focused on U.S. and outbound immigration law, leading teams across various jurisdictions, and facilitating the relocation and employment of foreign nationals for numerous global corporations.

Michelle also worked as the national director of education at the American Immigration Lawyers Association in Washington, D.C., managing the organization’s immigration education programs for its more than 16,000 members. She began her career at a boutique immigration law firm in Boston. Michelle is an active member of AILA and has served as managing editor of several of their publications. She has also presented on nonprofit association management issues.

Michelle enjoys engaging in spirited discussions about immigration law with her sister, who is also an immigration lawyer. Outside of work, she cherishes her free time with her husband, two teenagers and three dogs, and finds balance through regular yoga practice.
