Petra Tang

Petra is a Partner at BAL’s San Francisco office. She is a decades-long fan of the firm’s oneBAL mindset, bringing it to the forefront in her relationships with clients. Petra’s immigration practice focuses on helping her clients navigate immigration complexities so that the business can focus on what’s important — executing on achieving its goals.

Petra empathetically advises and represents clients of all sizes and in a variety of industries, with a focus on technology. With her extensive experience as well as dedication to her clients, Petra provides guidance to businesses and multinational corporations, offering expert advice on a wide range of corporate immigration matters, such as compliance, the immigration impact of corporate reorganizations, nonimmigrant work visas, complex PERM programs and permanent residency matters.

Petra was born in the United States but grew up in Hong Kong and traveled extensively to the U.S., Europe and Australia.

Petra is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has been named in Best Lawyers since 2017.
