Practice Areas
Mr. Muñoz focuses his practice on patent and trade secret litigation across a broad range of technologies, including medical devices, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and electronics. He has represented clients in federal and state courts, the International Trade Commission, and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in inter partes review and post-grant review proceedings.
He serves as the partner in charge of Akin’s Philadelphia office and leads the firm’s PTAB practice.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Muñoz spent more than five years at Ford Motor Company’s Scientific Research Laboratory, where he worked as an engineer developing advanced engine technologies. He holds degrees in chemical and mechanical engineering and a certificate in business and public policy from the Wharton School.
