Partner since 1990. Responsible for S&C’s litigation practice on the West Coast. Extensive experience representing many of the largest and most influential businesses and prominent individuals in a wide range of complex business disputes. Represents clients in securities and other class action litigation, M&A, antitrust, contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory and internal investigations. Appears in federal/state courts, arbitrations, and proceedings before the SEC and other agencies. In recent years, has tried multiple cases, including several jury trials, non-jury trials, and a regulatory trial before a three-person panel. He also has handled numerous appeals, including in the Ninth, Second, D.C. and Federal Circuits, California Court of Appeals, New York Appellate Division and Delaware Supreme Court. Select clients include Amgen, AT&T, BP, CIM Group, Richard Cohen, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Frank McCourt, Steven Mnuchin, Occidental Petroleum, Pabst Brewing, Dean Spanos, Stifel Financial, Upbound Group, Thomas Weisel and Ziff Davis.
