Qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and practised with Pannone & Partners until 2009, followed by a brief stint working in-house for the Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes whilst transitioning to the Bar. Called to the Bar in 2010. Became a member of 9 St John Street in Manchester in 2010 on completion of pupillage, and practised as a Barrister (chancery and commercial) and Mediator until September 2021. Since September 2021 has practised full-time as a Mediator
