A barrister (and former solicitor) now practising solely as a mediator. His mediation practice covers a wide range of chancery and commercial disputes, with a particular emphasis on wills, trusts and probate disputes (including claims under Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975) and property disputes (real property and landlord and tenant). Other key practice areas include partnership disputes and professional negligence claims (primarily against solicitors).
Qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and worked at Pannone & Partners until 2009, followed by a brief stint working in-house for the Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes whilst completing his move to the Bar. Called in 2010, and became a member of 9 St John Street (now NINE chambers) in Manchester in 2010 on completion of pupillage. Practised as a Barrister (chancery and commercial) and Mediator until September 2021. Since September 2021 has practised full-time as a Mediator from NINE Chambers where he is head of the Mediation practice group.
