Kirk Jones chairs the firm's Complex Business Litigation and Bankruptcy practice group. His comprehensive practice is concentrated on matters involving bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and business litigation, including litigation involving indenture trustees, arbitration and corporation/partnership matters. He also has experience handling trusts and estates and successions litigation. His clients include major oil companies, whom he counsels concerning their rights under mineral leases and operating agreements during bankruptcy cases. Kirk also has specific experience dealing with casinos in bankruptcy. He represented the indenture trustee in the bankruptcy of a land-based casino and a disbursement agent in another casino bankruptcy.
