James Brown's practice focuses on complex litigation, including banking and contract disputes, energy litigation, professional liability and legal malpractice defense, antitrust litigation, class action defense, trusts and estates litigation, and other areas. For more than three decades, James has successfully represented banks, insurance carriers, national law and accounting firms, and multi-national businesses in complex commercial and professional liability cases. James has tried major cases in these areas in state and federal courts throughout the nation. The unifying element in these cases is their large size and complexity.
Mr. Brown is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and other national, state and local professional organizations.
Mr. Brown publishes regularly in national and state journals on topics of complex litigation, professional lability, and legal ethics.
Mr. Brown and his wife of 39 years, Kelly, have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren. Mr. Brown is an avid amateur violinist and also plays guitar and piano.
