Petar Kojdić is a senior partner and the head of the Banking & Finance practice at Refine Legal. He has extensive experience advising on complex cross-border financing transactions in Serbia and across the SEE region, with a particular focus on project finance, acquisition finance, capital markets, derivatives, financial regulatory matters, and banking M&A transactions.
Petar has advised leading international and domestic banks, financial institutions, investment funds, and corporate borrowers on some of the region’s most significant financing transactions. His work includes structuring and negotiating syndicated and bilateral loans, refinancing arrangements, project financings in the energy and infrastructure sectors, bond issuances, and sophisticated financial instruments and security arrangements. He is also highly experienced in drafting and negotiating industry-standard LMA and ISDA documentation.
Petar is particularly recognised for his ability to combine strong technical expertise with a practical approach, helping clients efficiently navigate complex financial transactions, regulatory requirements, and risk management issues. He regularly advises clients on transaction structuring, banking regulation, financial collateral arrangements, netting frameworks, and strategic financing solutions in highly regulated industries.
Petar is the author of the Serbian ISDA netting opinion and the ICMA GMRA opinion for Serbia.
