Career

Paula is specialized in environmental law with more than 15 years of experience. She has a comprehensive vision of environmental, administrative and regulatory law since she has worked in both, public and private sectors.

Paula has specialized in providing advice on compliance of legal obligations regarding environmental impact, water, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, soil pollution and its remediation, environmental risk, Mexican federal maritime zone, forestry and land use changes, health and safety and other regulatory matters, such as the emerging regulations of cannabis and its derivatives.

She has participated in multiple environmental audits for clients of different industries, such as renewable energy, hydrocarbon sector, food and beverages, forestry, paper, chemistry, real estate, tourism, product manufacturing, tobacco and pharmaceutical among others. Likewise, she has experience in environmental litigation and administrative matters against acts of environmental and regulatory authorities.

As part of the ESG specialization, she has focused on designing tools for the development and implementation of regulatory management and environmental compliance systems, as key tools in our clients' ESG strategies.
