Nicole Bollard is a specialist Intellectual Property barrister, who represents clients in the High Court, IPEC and the UKIPO. Her practice covers all areas of IP: she is instructed in claims concerning trade marks, designs, copyright, passing off, patents and breach of confidence.
Her recent cases include:
- Lish v The Northern Block [2025] EWHC 2172 (Ch): Nicole successfully obtained an order striking out parts of the claimant’s claim as an abuse of process in a case concerning copyright infringement and breach of contract.
- Bacon v Hatcher Components Limited: Nicole acts for the claimant in the ongoing proceedings for patent infringement and negligence in respect of aerodynamic products.
- MPS v Pioneer: Nicole acts for the claimant in the ongoing proceedings for design right infringement of medical pet clothing.
- Alyssa Smith Jewellery Ltd v Goodstone (t/a Alyssa Jewellery Design) [2021] EWHC 1482 (IPEC) successfully acted for the claimant in a claim for passing off of the claimant’s jewellery business.
- Kurobuta Ltd v Hallsworth [2020] 11 WLUK 663 : Nicole successfully appeared before the appointed person in trade mark appeal concerning the assignment of goodwill in a restaurant business.
Nicole’s IP practice is complemented by her extensive experience in commercial litigation and she is frequently instructed in contractual disputes, including software licences, shareholder agreements and manufacturing agreements.
