THE CHAMBERS
3PB (3 Paper Buildings) is one of the longest established sets in England with 270 members and 18 silks and operates as a single set from its six well-equipped locations. The set is fully accredited by the Bar Council to provide CPD courses and is IiP and BarMark accredited. Each office is staffed by friendly and experienced staff who can advise clients on the most suitable counsel for a particular case, as well as discuss fees and provide estimates for anticipated work.
WORK UNDERTAKEN
Chambers expertise covers 12 specialist work groups. The commercial group advises on general contract and commercial law, as well as energy law and IP. The criminal law group advises and acts in a broad spectrum of criminal law matters. Counsel also undertake publicly funded work. The education law team advises parents, pupils, schools, teaching and academic staff and local authorities. The employment and discrimination group provides expertise across all areas of contentious and non-contentious work, including all forms of discrimination. The family law group provides expertise in every aspect of public/private childcare law and all forms of financial proceedings. The personal injury and clinical negligence groups conduct cases at every level and clients include both claimants and defendants. The professional negligence team gives advice in all aspects of the law. The property and estates group undertakes work in all areas of law concerning the ownership, occupation and use of land, as well as traditional Chancery law advice. Public and regulatory law crosses the boundary between civil and criminal law and members of the group provide expertise across a range of legal fields, including consumer protection and health and safety law. The asset and tax team has been instructed in a number of high profile cases, and nearly all of the leading panel receivers and government agencies instruct 3PB, together with well known specialist defence firms. The mediation group has particular strength in the fields of adjudication, arbitration and mediation. Members are regularly appointed as adjudicators or arbitrators in both domestic and international disputes. 3PB’s construction and engineering group provides expertise in all aspects of construction disputes and dispute resolution services, both domestic and international. The Intellectual Property law group has an exceptional reputation for its expertise advising and representing clients in registered trade marks, passing off, copyright, patents, designs and confidential information.
