Nicholas Pappas is a partner in Weil’s Employment Litigation Practice Group. For over 30 years, he has litigated and counseled regarding the myriad employment issues arising in the workplace, with an emphasis on claims of discrimination, enforcement of restrictive covenants, executive employment agreements and terminations, and disability. He also concentrates on defending ERISA class actions challenging the administration of health care plans, 401(k) plans, and defined benefit plans, regularly litigating and counseling on sophisticated legal issues arising in ERISA litigation, including preemption, standing, fiduciary status, disclosure, withdrawal liability, and benefit accrual. Clients include AlixPartners, Brookfield Asset Management, Ceridian, Euronext, Mastercard Inc., Merrill Lynch, and UnitedHealth Group.
