Natalie is a key member of McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s White Collar Defence & Investigations Group. She acts for and advises Canadian and foreign corporations and senior leadership in complex, high stakes matters involving a variety of corporate and individual misconduct such as fraud, securities law violations, and anti-competitive behaviour like bid-rigging. Many of her files have a criminal or constitutional component.
Career
Natalie has extensive experience defending and prosecuting corporate and individual misconduct in civil, criminal, and regulatory proceedings. She has acted as lead counsel in successfully defending individuals facing serious criminal charges, conducted sensitive internal investigations, and has acted as prosecutor in regulatory proceedings and in civil cases involving fraud. She has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, and has acted as counsel in numerous cases before the Supreme Court of Canada touching on criminal and white collar matters.
Natalie is an adjunct professor in Evidence at the LLM program at Osgoode Hall Law School and serves as an executive member of McCarthy Tétrault’s pro bono criminal defence program in partnership with the University of Toronto’s Downtown Legal Services.
