Michael Skene

Michael is Partner at BLG’s Vancouver office. He advises clients in a range of construction and infrastructure matters, with extensive experience in dispute-related issues. Michael has managed large teams of counsel and experts, and has successfully resolved a number of the largest disputes in Canada in the past two decades, including one dispute in excess of $1.1 billion.

Michael is a trusted advisor to many sophisticated Canadian and international clients, and has appeared in numerous tribunals, provincial and superior courts, and in the Supreme Court of Canada.

Additionally, he has a robust media and defamation practice, with experience in all aspects of the sector, including defending libel claims and setting aside publication bans and Court closure Orders.
