Michael Paton

Practice Areas

Michael is head of Lennox Paton's Corporate, Investment Funds and Banking groups. His areas of practice include corporate, finance, banking, securities, mergers & acquisitions, investment funds, tax, trusts, foundations. He is considered to be one of the top lawyers in The Bahamas.

Michael is former chairman of the Bahamas Financial Services Board, current deputy chairman of the Securities Commission of the Bahamas, a member of the government Tax Steering Committee and a qualified Certified Public Accountant (non-practising) in the USA.

He has spoken at numerous international conferences, has written numerous articles, and has authored several chapters for practitioner texts on Bahamian legal issues.
