Lennox Paton was founded in Nassau, The Bahamas in 1986. It is a full-service offshore commercial firm with practice teams organised under the following headings: litigation; insolvency and restructuring; investment funds; trusts and foundations; banking and finance; real estate; resort development; corporate and commercial; private client and shipping.

The firm practices Bahamian and BVI law.

The firm has a very strong practice in trusts, commercial, corporate insolvency litigation and investment funds. Further, it has niches in capital markets work; hotel and resort development. In practice there is considerable overlap between the practice teams driven by the need to respond to client requirements.

Members of the firm belong to a number of professional associations (INSOL, IBA and STEP, for example) and regularly contribute to journals and seminars.

The firm represents numerous financial institutions, both domestic and international, which complements the firm's large and diversified private client practice.
