Career

Michael Hainen is a Principal in Goldberg Kohn's Commercial Finance Group. He represents banks and other financial institutions primarily engaged in middle-market lending activities in the documentation, negotiation and closing of a wide range of loan transactions. He regularly handles single and multi-bank asset-based and cash-flow loans, leveraged buyouts, mezzanine financings, and cross-border finance transactions.

Mike also has extensive experience in bankruptcy related financing, including debtor-in-possession financings and exit loan facilities. In addition, he frequently handles workout matters and guides both out-of-court and bankruptcy-governed restructurings.

Mike joined Goldberg Kohn in May 2000. He is former Chair of the firm's Commercial Finance Group (2015-2023), a member of the Business Development and Compensation committees, and serves on the Associate Task Force.
