As a partner in Hunton’s capital finance and real estate practice, Matt cuts a wide swath across the real estate industry by advising owners, developers, managers, equity investors and lenders, among them REITS, private equity funds and family offices, on a variety of transactions throughout the capital stack. These include construction and real estate financings, acquisitions and dispositions (for fee estates, ground leases as well as entity interests), complex joint venture vehicles, real estate developments, preferred equity investments, mezzanine loan originations, loan-on-loan financings, secondary market purchases, non-traditional subordinate debt products, and loan workouts and restructurings.
