Matthew C. Gaudet is a trial lawyer who focuses on patent infringement cases. He is Vice Chair of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group, and he is the leader of the firm's IP Litigation Division that Law360 named Intellectual Property Group of the Year in 2024. Over the last 25-plus years, he has defeated dozens of patents through trials, summary judgment rulings and IPRs, and regularly appears before the Federal Circuit. He has served as lead counsel for major technology companies such as Cisco Systems, Verizon, ARRIS, CenturyLink, Seagate, Palo Alto Networks, SonicWall, Microsoft, Comcast, and Cox Communications. He has also collected over $100 million for patent holders. He has successfully tried numerous cases, has defeated dozens of patents prior to trial, and has appeared before panels of the U.S. Court of Appeals, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation and federal district courts across the country. Mr. Gaudet regularly lectures on patent litigation topics.
