Marlene Quintana is a relationship-oriented labor and employment lawyer focused on educating and protecting her clients. She partners with an array of private and public employers across various sectors, from government and media to health care and cosmetics, helping them manage risk and nurture networks of talent. Her holistic practice, which includes preventative counseling, training, lobbying, litigation, and mediation, has grown alongside her clients as they navigate external pressure and internal change.
Marlene is board certified by The Florida Bar in Labor and Employment Law, as well as a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, and has mediated over 1,500 federal and state court cases. She is well-versed in the nuanced and delicate work of managing human resources and the symbiotic interaction between employers and workers. She provides day-to-day preventive counseling for in-house counsel, HR Directors, and other key stakeholders on compliance, employee training and policies, transactional contracts and agreements, discrimination, whistleblower and retaliation claims, accommodations for disabilities, workers’ compensation, and issues surrounding COVID-19 workplace laws. Marlene works to craft solutions around company culture in each and every matter.
She also assists clients with audits, leads independent investigations, and provides findings and recommendations to help clients manage complicated workplace changes and improvements. When litigation is the next step in disputes, Marlene represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board, the Public Employers Relations Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Division of Administrative Hearings.
Her lobbying experience includes government relations counseling for a diverse group of clients that include nonprofit advocacy organizations and national corporations. Marlene has developed effective legislative strategies, built coalitions, and effectively organized grassroots communications. She frequently teams with GrayRobinson colleagues in the alcohol beverage, corporate, education, government affairs and lobbying, immigration, health care practices to better serve clients.
