Known for his steady judgment and strategic approach, Jim handles litigation, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and non-litigation counseling for shipowners, operators, insurers, logistics companies, railroads, and other transportation clients. His practice includes matters ranging from cargo claims and marine casualties to environmental and regulatory proceedings before the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Transportation Safety Board.
Jim’s reputation for integrity and professionalism extends across the maritime, transportation, and logistics industries. He is particularly trusted by leading international marine insurers in the London market and European P&I Clubs, who rely on his counsel in high-value, complex claims involving vessels and cargo. His work regularly places him at the forefront of significant global maritime issues, where clients depend on him for both sound legal strategy and practical, business-minded solutions.
