Mark Jadd

Mark Jadd is a senior partner in the Toronto office of Dentons Canada LLP and Chair of the firm’s National Tax Group. Mark is also an active member of the Dentons Global Tax Steering Committee.

Mark is a strategic thinker and has a long-standing reputation for his ability to communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner. His practice focuses on the income tax aspects of corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, restructurings and financings in both the domestic and international context. He provides tax advice to multinational corporations with respect to the establishment, acquisition or sale of Canadian operations and to foreign private equity funds in connection with investment in Canadian businesses or properties. He also advises Canadian businesses and private equity funds in connection with Canadian operations and investment in, or expansion to, foreign jurisdictions.

In addition to his transactional practice, Mark provides ongoing tax advice to many clients in the film and television industry where he is considered to be a leading expert. He also handles complex tax controversies, particularly in connection with the entertainment industry or syndicated financing structures.
