Regulatory road transport law covering goods and passenger carriage. Extensive experience as an advocate appearing in public inquiries involving matters such as maintenance, drivers' hours, bus reliability and environmental objections. Magistrates Court advocate in dealing with regulatory road traffic offences and serious transport related crime in the Crown Court involving fraud, causing death by careless and dangerous driving, health and safety prosecutions and tachograph falsification. Other areas of specialism arising out of road transport include inquests, proceedings in foreign jurisdictions and representing drivers and operators in police interviews. Provides clients with a systematic approach to their compliance undertakings and regularly advises operators with regards to business structures and licensing obligations. Mark is also head of the regulatory team.
The Law Society, practice memberships of the RHA, UK Logistics, CPT and Portable Sanitation Europe.
Regularly contributes articles to transport journals on all aspects of the operators licensing regime.
