A solicitor advocate (Higher Courts Criminal Proceedings) specialising in road transport law, covering goods and passenger vehicles. Representing clients in Magistrates and Crown Courts as well as at public inquiries and also inquests. Also been involved in cases before the High Court and House of Lords. Appears at courts and tribunals throughout England, Wales and Scotland. Provides consultancy advice to companies on internal systems for compliance with road transport law and operators' licensing requirements. Acted for companies and individuals in relation to drugs/smuggling seizures on the continent. Also specialises in advising and representing members of the fairground and circus industries plus those operating abnormal loads and specialist plant and equipment.

Member of the North Western Freight Council of UK Logistics and deputy to the National Council. Former Chairman of North Wales, Mersey and Cheshire Region of the Institute of Transport Administration.

Regularly contributes articles to various transport journals on all aspects of compliance with transport law and provides regular answers to readers’ questions in the transport press.
