Marina Maciel advises national and international clients in all aspects of environmental law and climate, such as environmental licensing, environmental litigation in the courts and before administrative authorities, M&A, identification of environmental and climate risks, and their implications.
She has extensive experience in structuring decarbonization and reforestation projects, as well as in the development of regulatory proposals focused on the climate agenda.
She represents some of the largest national and international companies, doing business in various sectors of the economy, including infrastructure, logistics, waste, energy, and industries in general.
Prior to joining BMA, Marina acted as external consultant to the World Bank, providing legal support in the financing of environmental public policies in the Brazilian state of Piauí. She also worked at New York City’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP-NYC), providing legal support in the management of the city’s water resources.
