Marie Claire is a Partner specializing in Employment law with over 18 years’ experience.

She provides strategic and practical advice to domestic and international clients on all aspects of the employment relationship. Marie Claire advises businesses on the day-to-day employment issues that arise and drafts contractual documentation and policies. Marie Claire advises businesses on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including TUPE, and guides employers through restructuring programmes. She advises on more contentious matters such as grievances, disciplinary matters, protected disclosures, redundancies, termination of employment and on the enforcement of post-termination restrictions and confidential information clauses.

Marie Claire advises clients on data protection law and guides businesses on their GDPR compliance and on employment issues that arise. She has a particular focus on data protection in the employment sphere such as the monitoring of employees, use of tracking technologies, breaches of confidential information and employee related data breaches. She provides GDPR training to employers and HR teams.

Marie Claire is a tutor in employment law in the Law Society of Ireland’s professional practice course and the published Irish contributor on OneTrust’s DataGuidance for Ireland – Employment.
