Luis is the Head of the Corporate and M&A practice at the firm. He focuses on local and cross-border corporate structures, corporate governance practices, and general contract negotiation. Likewise, Luis has an extensive experience providing legal advice in reorganization matters as well as complex corporate transactions in national and international franchises and joint ventures.

He has handled mergers and acquisitions mandates for local and foreign companies in various sectors, including construction, energy, real estate, retail and agriculture. Other key areas of his practice concentrate on foreign and local investment, mainly in private capital work, advising fund managers on their investments in Peru, including due diligence processes.

Finally, Luis advises on responses, investigations, claims, and procedures for consumer protection and unfair competition. In addition, he provides adaptation services to personal data protection regulations and reinforces corporate procedures and practices in this matter.

Luis co-leads DLA Piper's Regional Private Equity Practice for Latin America.
