Mr. Pérez de Ayala has been counsel for the state at the European Court of Justice, the Spanish Ministry of Justice and the Spanish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. He has been secretary of the board of directors and head of legal affairs at ENAGAS, S.A., as well as a member of its management committee. He has held different legal management positions at the Gas Natural Group.
He lectures on master programs at Universidad Carlos III and Universidad de Navarra, as well as at the Spanish Energy Club. He also speaks at conferences organized by prestigious centers and different forums related to the energy and gas sector.
