Luciano Pérez Gómez

Luciano has more than 25 years of experience advising domestic and international clients on insurance and reinsurance, regulated M&A, and financial regulatory and compliance matters, including fintech, insurtech, data protection, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, and consumer protection.

He regularly advises insurers, reinsurers, financial institutions and multinational companies on complex transactional, regulatory, corporate and compliance matters, as well as on the development of innovative insurance and financial products. He also serves as an independent director and board secretary of several insurance companies.

He is a frequent speaker on insurance and financial regulatory matters and lectures in postgraduate insurance law programmes at Universidad Panamericana and Escuela Libre de Derecho.

Luciano has been consistently recognized by Chambers & Partners as a leading lawyer in Insurance in Latin America.

Luciano received his law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and an LL.M. from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He also worked as a foreign associate in the Banking & Finance practice of Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago.

Luciano is an active member and speaker of the Mexican Chapter of AIDA (AMEDESEF) and of the National Association of Company Lawyers (ANADE) and the International Chamber of Commerce Mexico (ICC). He is also lecturer at the postgraduate programme at the University Escuela Libre de Derecho.
