Louisa is a well-regarded and established specialist extradition barrister, acting both on behalf of requested persons and foreign governments. She has a wealth of knowledge, having practiced in this area since 2008, dealing with complex cases from numerous jurisdictions, including the USA, Nigeria, Canada, Moldova, Armenia, India, UAE, Turkey as well as the full spectrum of European countries.
She works tirelessly to obtain the best possible outcomes for her clients and is noted for her approachability and hard work ethic.
Louisa has extensive experience of appellate proceedings, regularly appearing before the Divisional and Administrative Courts, has made applications to the ECHR and dealt with ancillary proceedings, including judicial review.
She regularly advises on challenging INTERPOL Red Notices, has assisted in negotiating prisoner-transfer arrangements and has coordinated successful s21B interview requests.
Recent instructions include cases raising issues of torture, human trafficking, politically motivated criminal proceedings, corporate crime, and large-scale multi-jurisdictional frauds.
