Mark represents individuals and businesses facing investigation or proceedings relating to serious and complex criminal allegations. The mainstay of his practice is serious fraud work (including bribery and corruption), homicide (including fatal driving cases) and serious sexual offending (including offences relating to unlawful images).

The majority of Mark’s instructions are privately funded, although he continues to accept legal aid instructions in appropriate cases (usually murder, where Mark has extensive experience in joint enterprise cases and those involving young people).

Mark is also regularly instructed to provide second opinions as to the merits of an appeal against conviction or sentence in cases where other lawyers were originally instructed.

A high proportion of Mark’s clients are professional people (including doctors, accountants, solicitors and those working in sport and the arts). He also regularly represents company directors and other high-net-worth individuals.
