Serves as Cassels Managing Partner and maintains her employment practice. Provides practical and strategic advice to employers on a wide range of employment matters including executive and employee hiring, discipline, and termination; severance packages; corporate restructuring; employment agreements and policies; certification applications; privacy compliance; mergers & acquisitions; restrictive covenants; and workplace harassment and discrimination issues. Represents employers in court in wrongful dismissal actions, severance pay class actions, restrictive covenant disputes, injunctions, grievance arbitrations, collective bargaining, and before various administrative tribunals. Conducts management and employee training to proactively prevent workplace disputes.
