Katie is a senior associate in Carey Olsen's trusts and private wealth team in the Cayman Islands.
Katie is a qualified Trusts and Estate Practitioner with a strong foundation in traditional private client work. She advises HNW and UHNW individuals, beneficiaries, trustees, executors and other fiduciaries across the spectrum of contentious and non-contentious trusts and estates matters and has a particular interest in matters where dispute resolution and advisory work intersect.
Katie advises on wills and estate planning, often with a cross-border aspect, and wealth structuring including the creation, restructuring and termination of trusts and foundation companies. In her litigation practice she acts for trustees and beneficiaries in actions for directions, blessings and breach of trust claims.
Prior to joining Carey Olsen in September 2023, Katie trained at London law firm Wedlake Bell LLP and qualified into the Private Client team in September 2016, building a hybrid contentious/non-contentious practice.
Katie is a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP). She is a member of the Contentious Trusts and Estates Special Interest Group and has been elected to the Global Steering Committee of that Group. Katie is also an active member of the Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA).
Katie read Law at the University of Bristol and graduated in 2011. She completed the Legal Practice Course at College of Law in Bristol in 2014.
