Katie Powell

Katie specialises in domestic and international civil engineering, building and energy disputes. She is especially well versed in disputes involving elements of professional negligence and insurance, having been a contributor to Jackson & Powell on Professional Negligence for a number of years and having contributed to the insurance section of Hudson on Building Contracts. Her experience in engineering and construction includes disputes relating to airports, metro projects, waste management plants, PFI hospital projects and residential/commercial developments. She has substantial litigation experience in the TCC, Commercial Court and in the Court of Appeal. Her arbitration experience includes disputes conducted under the ICC and LCIA rules and arising in a number of jurisdictions including Russia, Oman, Dubai, Iraq and Hong Kong.
