He has amassed extensive experience within the international shipping industry, particularly across African jurisdictions, where he has been particularly active in assisting all sorts of industry players, from owners, charterers, P&I Clubs, shipbrokers, ship managers, ship agents, freight forwarders, port operators and stevedores, to commodities traders on all types of wet and dry shipping matters. In addition, he provides regular advice on regulatory matters to oil companies and service providers to the offshore oil & gas industry,notably in respect of the use and employment of rigs, FPSOs, support and multipurpose vessels. He also holds a deep knowledge of the bunkering/downstream industry, having assisted major players in the setting up of their local structures, securing licences and deals.
José regular presence in Angola and Mozambique allows him to have an in-depth understanding of the local and neighboring legal environments.
