He has extensive experience in the area of tax consulting and procedures, advising clients with multinational and local presence in various aspects of the matter, such as tax structuring of operations, tax compliance reviews, representation and assistance in audits, contentious and non-contentious procedures and judicial tax proceedings, among others.
He is a member of Instituto Peruano de Derecho Tributario (IPDT), the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (Amcham); and the Tax Committee of Club de Abogados de Iberoamérica.
He is the exclusive author of Bloomberg BNA’s Peruvian Portfolio for Doing Business in Peru, Bloomberg BNA’s guide to Indirect Taxes in Peru and collaborator for the World Bank in the B-Ready Project. He is a regular speaker at seminars and congresses on Tax Law for various institutions, most notably his nationwide lecture at the 13th IFA Latin American Regional Congress. He regularly writes tax articles for specialized media.
He is a lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, a specialist in Tax Policy and Technique from Centro Interamericano de Administraciones Tributarias (CIAT) and holds a Master’s Degree in Tax Management and Policy from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM). He has worked at the Tax Court of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and PwC.
