Career
Jorge is a senior partner and has been a member of Santos Elizondo since 2005. He currently coordinates the Heavy Industry Committee and founded the Pro Bono Committee of the firm.
Professional Memberships
Professor of electricity regulation in the postgraduate program at UANL, and of the legal framework for electricity and energy policy in the UDEM postgraduate program. He is former president of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Monterrey, former president of the National Energy Technical Committee of the IMEF, chair of the Regulatory Committee of the Energy Cluster of Nuevo Leon, and chair of the Energy and Natural Resources Group of Lawyers Associated Worldwide. He is member of the Mexican Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Mexican Council of Foreign Relations, and the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives.
Personal
He has a law degree (2007) from Tecnológico de Monterrey, holds an LL.M. (2011) in Corporate Law from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, an LL.M. (2014) from New York University and a PhD (2021) in Law from Universidad de Monterrey.
