He has also taught law at both Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) and Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).

Miguel is a member of the UANL Foundation and has served as President of its Legal Commission since 2019. He holds a law degree with honours from the UANL Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, and went on to complete a Master's in Law at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He speaks Spanish and English.
