Heads Skadden’s Energy Regulation and Litigation Group. Focuses on complex FERC enforcement, litigation, and appellate matters, often involving organized power markets. Has defended many of the now-public FERC market manipulation cases, including Barclays, JP Morgan Ventures Energy, DB Energy Trading, Dr. Alan Chen, Rumford Paper, and many non-public ones. Has played a lead role in major FERC trials with billions of dollars at stake. Led trailblazing, controversial FERC litigation resulting in heightened capacity buyer-market-power mitigation. Has argued 29 cases in the US courts of appeals.
