John Forrester

Career

John is the managing partner of HFW’s Singapore office. He specialises in international ship and offshore finance and advises clients in other key industry sectors served by the firm, including the energy and commodities sectors. He has acted for a wide range of banks and export credit agencies on their shipping and offshore loans, including many of the shipping industry’s leading banks. He has also represented shipbuilders, shipowners, operators and investors on various shipping and offshore related transactions, including financing, ship building, leasing, sale and purchase, ship registration and joint ventures.

On the non-marine side, John acts on trade finance and general banking deals. He has spent the first 30 years of his career working in London before relocating to HFW’s Singapore office in 2017.
