Stephen Thompson

Stephen is Global Head of Commodities at HFW.

His commercial experience encompasses assisting commodity trading companies on their purchase and sale agreements, as well as financing arrangements. With shipping clients, Stephen advises on ship purchase and sale agreements, port access, charterparties, bills of lading and other shipping documents.

In litigation, Stephen represents commodity traders, shipowners, ship operators and charterers, in disputes arising from vessel groundings, cargo infestations, cargo availability and other breaches under sea carriage documents, as well as assisting trading companies in disputes under their purchase/sale contracts. Stephen also represents cruise lines in defending personal injury claims and other disputes.

Stephen is qualified in England and Wales and Australia.
