Career

John is a Partner in HFW’s Shipping team, based in Singapore. He specialises in international ship and offshore finance and advises clients in other key sectors served by HFW, including energy and commodities. He has acted for a wide range of banks and export credit agencies on their shipping and offshore loans, including many of the shipping industry’s leading banks. He also represents shipbuilders, shipowners, operators and investors on various shipping and offshore related transactions, including financing, ship building, leasing, sale and purchase, ship registration and joint ventures.

On the non-marine side, John acts on trade finance and general banking deals. He has spent the first 30 years of his career working in London before relocating to HFW’s Singapore office in 2017.
