Career

João has more than 10 years of experience advising clients in the mining sector, both in transactional, regulatory and litigation matters.

Clients often rely on João’s expertise in a wide array of regulatory matters applicable to mining operations, including administrative litigation and CFEM (state-enforced mining royalties) matters before the National Mining Agency, referring to him as capable of providing creative solutions to complex cases.

João is the go-to lawyer for several clients due to his capability of applying his deep and extensive knowledge of the applicable regulatory matters to transactional matters, acting as expert counsel on matters related to asset acquisition, due diligences and title opinions, M&As, financing operations, as well as in the drafting and negotiation of several sector-specific agreements.

Mr. Raso holds a master’s degree (LLM) from PUC/Minas and a specialist degree (Business Administration) from Fundação Dom Cabral.
