Mr. Liu has advised both Chinese and international companies on about 2000 M&A and investment transactions, including, inter alia, China Merchants Expressway Group’s merger with Huabei Expressway (000916.SZ); ChemChina’s USD42.6 billion acquisition of Syngenta; Sanonda’s RMB18 billion acquisition of ADAMA; Zoomline’s USD5 billion attempted acquisition of Terex; IFC’s strategic investment in China Postal and Savings Bank; Khazanah NKhazanah Nasional Berhad’s strategic investment in China Huarong Asset Management Co., Ltd.; China Resources Group’s acquisition of pharmaceutical assets worth of RMB50 billion; China Resources Land Ltd.’s USD1.73 billion proposed acquisition of real estate assets of Oriental Overseas Development Ltd.; Tianjin Port Development’s HK$100 million acquisition of the controlling interest of an A-share listed company; SAB Miller’s HKD40 billion take-over of Harbin Brewery via a general offer on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
